We left the wonderful Ubud with its famous temples and rice fields and headed to Kuta, a place where surfing is at home. The strong waters of the Indian Ocean attract many daily enthusiasts of this sport, being the right place for both experts and those who want to climb on a board for the first time.

Kuta is also famous for its nightlife, for the bars and restaurants where music reverberates at any time of day. It is more popular among younger travelers who have a lower budget as it has many cheap accommodations.

Bali has many very beautiful beaches, some more crowded while others are wilder, some with strong waves while others are calm. Apart from Kuta, we also reached Nusa Dua, Balangan and Padang Padang.

But, no matter which beach you choose, don’t miss the sunset!

Every day we tried to reach a different beach and for that we used a taxi. The safest option was to order a taxi from the hotel, but you should know that it does not arrive immediately, but after about 20-30 minutes. It was harder to find an honest taxi on the way back, because one day we had the unpleasant surprise to be asked to pay three times as much for the ride.

Nusa Dua is a beach area with many luxury resorts. It is very clean with lots of vegetation, beaches with fine sand, and perfect water for children, or for those who do not yet know how to swim. At least while we were there, the ocean seemed like a lake😉

Balangan Beach is one of the most picturesque beaches, with golden sand, rocks, and a reef that attracts surfers like a magnet in search of the perfect wave.

It is less crowded and with less amenities than Dreamland Beach that is beyond the reef, but The Point Balangan Beach restaurant is perfect for a delicious lunch, a cocktail, or fresh dragon fruit.

Padang Padang Beach is slightly further south than Balangan and Dreamland Beach and offers isolated beaches, cliffs, and caves that form small natural pools. As at Dreamland Beach, you must pay an entrance fee and you can buy the ticket from the office at the top of the stairs.

The beach is typically full especially at sunset.

It was hard for us to go home after the 8 days spent in Bali and 4 in Singapore. But it was an unforgettable vacation!

What was the most beautiful vacation for you?
